December 2nd News Letter:
Christmas hours are: Tuesday-Friday 12:00 noon – 8:00 pm, Saturdays 9:00 – 8:00 pm, Sundays 9:00 – 6:00 pm. Closed on Mondays.
Produce pick up will Tuesdays & Thursdays 12 – 6 pm along with Wednesdays at 4 PM – 8 PM. There will be no weekend pickups until the Christmas order. If you do need anything, including soups, come to the stand and we will do our best to assist you. Eggs and yogurt will be available in the stand too.
Tree trimming party is Monday December 10th from 4 pm to 8 pm. All you need is a smile and a spirit for fellowship. The cost is free, so come join in the fun and sample some of our sweet or savory foods.
Dinners to go December is a busy month, but we hope to maintain the “Soups to Go” portion of the venue. Then after the trees find their way into homes, we can get back to offering some savory “Dinners to Go.” We will keep you abreast of what is available on our web page, or you are welcome to like our new Facebook page called “Acres House” https://veggietrailfarms.com/wordpress/dinners-to-go/
DECEMBER MEAT ORDERS are as follows: REGULAR ORDER: Wednesday December 19th with a deadline for placing an order being Sunday December 16th. TURKEYS & CHRISTMAS ORDER will arrive on Saturday Dec 22nd, and a NEW YEARS & LOBSTER order will arrive on Dec. 28th, details to follow.

FRESH FREE RUN TURKEY: These turkeys that are supplemented with a mixture of vegetables and grains and come from Bearbrook. They come in several sizes: Small 3-5 KG (7 – 11 lbs) , Medium 5 – 7 KG (12 – 16 lbs), Large 7 – 9 KG (16 – 20 lbs) XL 9 – 11 KG (20 – 25 lbs) and Jumbo which are over 25 lbs. The cost is $ 8.79 p/KG or $ 4.00 p/LB. Reserve your bird early as there are a limited number of each size available. Early birds: If you need your bird before December 22nd, there are some available, but only frozen in the XL sizes.
HAYTERS TURKEY also free ranged birds, provide us with BREASTS: BONELESS & SKINLESS are flash frozen. Each breast weighs approximately 1.5 – 2 KGS & cost $ 16.49 per KG. Minimum order of 2. Or BREASTS: BONELESS WITH SKIN ON are also flash frozen. Each breast weighs approx. 1 – 1.5 KG and come in a 5 kg box for $ 72.00 or $ 14.69 p/KG for a minimum order of 2 THIGHS: BONELESS & SKINLESS are netted and flash frozen weighing approx. 1 KG cost $ 12.69 p/KG.
LAMB: This supply is range fed. It comes from Quebec, and arrives flash frozen.
LEG: Each leg is an average of 3 – 5 KGS in size, and costs $ 23.50 per KG.
BONELESS LEG: Average size 2 – 3.5 KGS is $ 26.50 p/KG
GAME BIRDS: All game birds come flash frozen.
CORNISH HENS are $ 5.00 per LB / $ 11.00 per KG. The average weight is 1.5 – 1.9 LBS each and come 4 birds in a bag. They are individually packaged and flash frozen.

SEAFOOD OPTIONS: MacGregor’s has provided us with Wild Atlantic Salmon: boneless & skinless, 7 oz. portions are $ 7.50. They are individually packaged and flash frozen.
FRESH CAUGHT LOBSTER: We are now taking reservations for fresh caught lobster from Nova Scotia that will arrive in time for New years.

These chickens and parts are all grain fed & air cooled. They arrive fresh, not frozen. The smaller chickens and parts are from Gagnon, the large roasters are from Flamingo. Both producers are located in Quebec, but we now have a secondary provider in Ontario who operates the same but has a few new items to offer.

We now have an abattoir who is making pork and or beef sausages for us. They are made in small batches and are gluten and nitrate free, made from locally produced meats – real food. Packages of 4 dinner sausages or 12 breakfast sausages are Aprox. 1 lb. Pork Sausages are $ 7.50 p/LB, and Beef are $ 10.00 p/LB.
