December 20th Holiday Order
December 22nd Turkey & Produce pick-up

The last regularly scheduled meat order for 2017 is arriving Wednesday December 20th with the deadline for placing an order being midnight on Sunday December 17th. To place an order please send an e-mail with the subject line: meat order to veggietrail@gmail.com.

HOLIDAY ORDER DEADLINE: Sunday December 17th @ MIDNIGHT
ORDER PICKUP DATE: Wednesday December 20th
PICK UP TIME: Between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM at the BIG red brick house
TURKEYS & BEARBROOK DELIVERY: Wednesday Dec 22  between 12 noon & 8 PM

CHRISTMAS RESERVATIONS:
FRESH TURKEYS: All sizes $ 8.69 p/kg / $ 4.05 p/lb. These birds are free ranged, vegetable & grain supplemented turkeys which come from Bearbrook farms. They arrive fresh on the 22nd of December, just in time for Christmas.

We have 2 birds still available:
1 – Large 7 – 9 11 KG (16-19 lbs)
1 – XLarge 9 – 11KG – (20-25 lbs)

OFF SEASON PRODUCE
All off season produce can be ordered and picked up at Acres House on the specified meat delivery dates see the produce page. There will be special items for Christmas which include: Brussel Sprouts, Fresh Herbs & Green Beans… See the produce page for details.

VEGGIE TRAIL’S MEAT SELECTIONS:

EGGS & DAIRY
BeKing Eggs is a family run poultry farm.  Their passion is to raise chickens and provide for them in a way that enhances their well-being. They believe that healthier and happier birds produce the highest quality egg. Large, Brown eggs are $ 4.45 per dozen.
Biemonds Upper Canada Organic Dairy is another locally run organic dairy farm. For now we are carrying their all natural, firm set yogurt which is $ 5.25 per 750 gm container, and will introduce their cheese when it becomes available.

FRESH LOCAL GROUND MEATS: are available in 5 kg  OR 3 KG bulk orders only for the holiday order. Any other time they are also available by the brick which weighs approx. 1.25 lb. Please specify the number of bricks you desire.

FRESH LOCAL CHICKEN: These chickens and parts are all grain fed and air cooled, arriving fresh not frozen. The smaller chickens and parts are from Gagnon, the large roasters are from Flamingo. Both producers are located in Quebec.
Whole Chickens: 4-4.2 lb
-Large Roasting Chickens: 5-8 lb
-Boneless & Skinless Breasts come in 5 kg bulk or 1/2 order of  2.5 kg
-Boneless & Skinless Thighs come in 5 kg bulk or 1/2 order 2.5 kg
-Boneless & Skinless Turkey Breasts are flash frozen & weigh 1.5-2 kg each. please specify the number of breasts you desire.
-Chicken Breasts – Bone-In are available in a 6 kg bag (8-10 birds)
-Cornish Hens come 4 per bag, each bird weighs 1.5-1.9 lbs each
-Giblets (hearts, livers, OR gizzards) are available in 5 kg bulk bags only. Please specify the organ.
-Chicken Legs (thigh and drumstick): 6 kg bag
-Chicken Wings come in 5 kg bulk only
-Chicken Bones (whole chicken carcasses) average 5 kg per bag

FRESH BEEF:
-Boneless Rib Eye: 8-10 kg each
-Chuck or Clod: average 10-12 kg
-Eye of the Round: average 2.8-3.5 kg each
-Flank Steaks: 5 kg bag, steaks approximately 1 kg
-NY Striploin: 6-8 kg each
-Prime Rib: 7-9 kg each
-Sirloin Tip: 6-8 kg each
-Striploin Steaks, Flash Frozen: package of 2
-Tenderloin (Butt End): 1.5-2 kg
-Top Sirloin: 6-7 kg each

PORK:
-Boneless Pork Butt: average 10 lb
-Boneless Pork Loin Roll: 4-5 kg
-Deluxe Bacon: 5 kg box, or half box
-Ham with Bone In (smoked and partially cooked): 10-12 kg
-Pork Shoulder (Bone-in): 4-5 kg
-Pork Tenderloins: 5 per bag, average weight of 1 lb
-Toupie Ham: whole ham, half ham, or one quarter ham

LOCAL LAMB:
Leg of Lamb: This supply is range-fed, and comes from Quebec. It arrives flash frozen. Each leg ranges from 3-5 kg.

FRESH AND FROZEN VEAL:
Available upon request. Please ask for the current prices, and indicate if you would like milk-fed, or grain-fed veal.

BEARBROOK GAME MEAT SELECTIONS: All Bearbrook meats are hormone and antibiotic free. Their animals are pastured and free to roam, feasting on grass, hey and grains. We’ve taken the liberty to select several items that we think you will enjoy. .The next Bearbrook order will be December 22 with the Christmas turkeys if you need something before that, please let us know and we should be able to accommodate you.
