Spring is here, W we are busy trying to catch up with the gardens. If we don’t answer the door bell, please look out back and we will come to serve you. Schedule for Produce, which includes meat from our freezer is changed to reflect the work in the fields. We are closed on Mondays, but open Tuesdays – Friday 4 – 8 pm & Saturday & Sunday from 12 noon to 6 pm. It is hard to stay on schedule while we tackle the gardens. Please be patient with us.

The vegetable stand will be opening Friday May 31st.  It will be open Friday – Sundays 10 AM – 6 PM until the middle of June as we focus on getting our gardens in for the 2019 season.

The next meat order arrives on Wednesday May 29th. The deadline for placing an order is Sunday May 26th at Midnight. To place an order or be added to the newsletter which includes all the prices, please send an e-mail with to veggietrail@gmail.com and make your request.

If you miss the order, or are running short, we keep a good supply in our freezers for your convenience.

THE NEXT ORDER AFTER THIS ONE: Wednesday June 12th on a two week cycle for the summer. Stand opening: Friday May 31st – Friday – Sunday 10 – 6 until the middle of June so we can focus on getting the crops in for the 2019 season.

EGGS & DAIRY:

BeKing Eggs is a family run poultry farm.  http://www.bekingseggs.com/about-our-farm.html passion is to raise chickens and provide for them in a way that enhances their well-being. They believe that heathier and happier birds produce the highest quality egg. Large, Brown eggs are $ 4.45 per dozen.
Biemond’s Upper Canada Organic Dairy is another locally run organic dairy farm. https://www.uppercanadacreamery.com/home/about/the-farm/ for now we are carrying their all natural, firm set yogurt which is $ 5.50 per 750 gm container.

FRESH LOCAL CHICKEN:

These chickens and parts are all grain fed & air cooled. They arrive fresh, not frozen. The smaller chickens and parts are from Gagnon, the large roasters are from Flamingo. Both producers are located in Quebec, but we now have a secondary provider in Ontario who operates the same but has a few new items to offer as well as certified organic birds.

LAMB

LEG OF LAMB: This supply is range fed. It comes from Quebec, and arrives flash frozen, but sometimes they surprise us with fresh. Each leg is an average of 3 – 5 KGS in size. We’ve had the privilege of serving this product at several of our Gathering Dinners and all the people who have attended will attest to the fact they are delicious!
BONELESS LEG OF LAMB: These free running sheep comes through the Ontario side of our food hub.
LAMB TENDERLOINS: Flash frozen & product of New Zealand are available on the Easter Order. This was by special request. If you would like one or two please let us know. Cheers! Tammy
